Drew commenced his career at Northrop Grumman after completing his Master’s in Human Resource Management. He gained deep insights into HR principles and real-life facts at the University of Illinois during his master’s. Soon after, he joined as a valuable member at the global aerospace and defense company, Northrop Grumman, in January 2019.
His continuous support as an HR Business Partner was commendable. Working on high-profile projects like the James Webb Space Telescope with talented professionals. Assisting the team with superb flexibility and taking the business to new heights.
After his commendable performance in his previous role, Soule was ready to take on more leading roles. He took over the position of Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Pinterest. Here, he made his mark on the HR polices by working in favour of people with unique traits and creativity. His passionate nature, leaning towards equity and opportunity for all, drove him to work on various aspects. For instance, working on talent management, building a healthy environment for the employees.
One such moment that altered Drew Soule’s career at Pinterest was his initiative in enhancing performance management. Soule collaborated with the other talented teams to further cement his initiative.
On analysing, he concluded that the attrition rate was below 1%, hence, the companies’s poor performance. Subsequenytly, he cooperated with other representative teams and resolved this issue. And tweaked the settings to a positive performance management structure for employees. Resulting in a smooth and successful growth of organisation and employees both.
One of the major difficulties that Drew Soule himself revealed in an interview was that of working with the new innovative technologies. Take, for instance, artificial intelligence and machine learning. Undeniably, his work reached new heights, though he also diffused the various risks involved with it. But the choice was not too difficult over the well-being of employees. His unique ideas and out-of-the-box thinking helped employees build crucial skills to thrive alongside these technological advancements.
Alongside his professional life, Drew Soule fervently works in favour of the rights of people with disabilities. His current focus is on making air travel more convenient for individuals with disabilities,especially for people dependent on wheelchairs. So, teaming up with airlines and organisations he hopes to enhance the experience of disable people and make it less challenging for them to travel. Hence, ensuring a safe and smooth travel experience for everyone, regardless of a disability or not.
Mr. Drew attended an interview and gave a short description of his future plans. He plans on further evolving the DEIB strategy, working on sustainable HR policies and promoting the initiative for the disability right.
Additionally, Drew Soule aims to build a safer and supportive environment in which everyone can become successful. At the same time, he seeks to acquire more skills and knowledge so that he can contribute to assisting people. With the steady accumulation of skills and experience, he wishes to lead the HR field in a positive direction.
Drew Soule loves and cares for his family immensely. Moreover, his family supported him throughout his successful journey. Especially, he is close with his twin brother and younger sister, and they support and care for him equally. And the strong family ties taught him the value of empathy and a gentle nature.
Additionally, values ingrained in him are reflected strongly in his HR responsibilities. As a result, he can understand how he can support his team members and work for the betterment of the employees.
